Mafia 2

After loving the first Mafia, a title that took an audience from the Godfather movies into gaming, i decided to preorder this title in order to play this gem as soon as it was released. Was my perempative purchase a waste? I can safely say, no.

Initially this game is set during the late 1930's and centres around a character called Vito Scaletti, his troubles with money and authoirity. The game takes place primarily in the 1950's with you, Vito, and your buddy joe trying to make they way in the mob. You will have to race around the city fighting wiseguys, chinese and negros in orfer to make it to the top.

Like the forst game this is a 3rd person sandbox game that sees you doing alot of driving and shooting, with many titles using this same formula you might wonder why this game is good. In my opinion Mafia 2 does story better than any GTA we've seen, not to mention there is a definite feel of imersion that is hard to get in this kind of game.

There are some downsides to this game, like the lack of AA and freeroam and yet these are overshadowed by what the game does right.

I would have to give this game a 7.5/10, meaning it's not perfect, but certainly worth the pricetag.
